Is it inappropriate to give a gift to my professors from when I study abroad?

I am a classics major and I'm traveling to Greece/Italy this summer. I would really love to bring back souvenirs for my language and archaeology professors - would this be too much? I'm never going to have classes with 2 of them again, but I will be having many more classes with my archaeology professors. I do NOT want them to think I'm trying to buy their favor because that is totally not the case-I'm a pretty good student and I would not do that. So, would bringing back a souvenir compromise their opinions of me, or would they just appreciate it and take it at face value?
