How can I score a museum job?

I'm in my junior year of my undergrad at a TX university. I'll be transferring to another university in the state to continue towards my masters in Anthropology in about a year. Once I've received my degree I'd like to move up north, probably to the Boston area, and work in a museum. I haven't quite decided what I'd like to do specifically, but I'm leaning toward archaeology and would ideally like to work with museum artifacts. However, I'll be in a new state halfway across the country with nothing but a degree behind me. How can I improve my chances of landing a job at a museum in the Boston area? There are a few museums in my area that I could volunteer for as a docent, but that's really my only opportunity to gain museum experience before I graduate. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
