Why does it seem any of the archaeological evidence of the age of the patriarchs "mysteriously dissapeared"?

the ark of the covenant, any sort of campsites from the Israelite travels in the deserts of sinai, any signs of the splitting of the red sea? it all seems to have dissapeared leaving as much evidence for it as any other myth... almost exactly like the myth of the tomb of Osiris. its almost like it all never happened and the Israelites just arose peacefully in the area according to archaeology
