To start with, you will have to first check Univs which offer Egyptology as a course in the world and see what their requirements are for admission. This will give you a good idea regarding what programs you will have to take up at Bachelor's level in India. To start with, check the list link provided below. Also see how well-funded these Univs are in terms of projects related to Egyptology. Many Univs expect you to take up Doctoral programs with them and work with them for several years before you can you can get funded for digs and excavations as a full-fledged archaeologist. Remember it is a highly competitive field and you will have to take up several years of research before becoming an expert.
