I would like to be an Archaeologist?

I'm in my last year of school meaning next year I will be going to Uni, so I wouldn't mind being an archaeologist, which is what I chose as my second option if I don't get into the course that I want initially, however I've always dreamt of having my own business that I can show up to every morning rather than to go somewhere else and work for someone else. Is this possible? If so, what can I do in archaeology that will allow me to open up my own business? I've searched all of my desired universities and have spoken to my careers counselor also they're not really much of a help.
